10 Days to Feel Great!

10 Days to Feel Great!

It’s not always easy to decide what is best or which path to take.

One of Louise Hay’s favorite affirmations is:
Trust in Life. It will bring you all that you need.

Throughout her writings, she reminds us that the key to trusting in Life is to love and accept yourself as you are and to never stop learning.

You can experience peace, trust and joy every day by doing these three simple things:

  1. feel great, hay house world summit 2014Love yourself
  2. Learn continuously
  3. Help others

Wouldn’t you like to feel more…

  • Loved and appreciated
  • Happy and fulfilled
  • Excited about your life
  • Trust that Life will take care of you
  • Worthy and deserving of having all you want
  • Connected to your loved ones
  • Energetic and youthful
  • Supported by the Universe
  • In control of your life

Let’s find out what’s really holding you back from feeling exactly the way you want.

Here’s a quick exercise to help you uncover your hidden beliefs that could be getting in the way of your health and happiness:

Ask: How do I feel about myself?

Write all of your thoughts on paper and read them out loud.

How many were positive?
How many were negative?

Don’t get caught up in judging how many thoughts were negative.  Just being aware of the negative beliefs you hold inside is very powerful!

And you know what’s even more powerful?  Turning all of those negative beliefs into positive statements.

For example, take this negative thought:  “I’ll never make enough money.”

And try saying this instead: “I always have everything I need.” Or “I always have more than enough.”  Or “I make plenty of money.” Use whichever positive statement resonates with you.

Guess what happens once you change your thoughts and truly love and accept yourself?

Good things start happening because you feel good about yourself.

But, it’s easier said than done, right? It’s often difficult to know how to get started.

We can help you take the first step. Desiderata: a manifesto for peace

Desiderata: a manifesto for peace

desiderata, max ehrmann, life manifesto“Desiderata” was written in 1927. However, it was largely unknown during Ehrmann’s lifetime, gaining popularity in the early 1970’s.

Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Max Ehrmann, “Desiderata”

“Desiderata” was written in 1927. However, it was largely unknown during Ehrmann’s lifetime, gaining popularity in the early 1970’s.

It is my view, since learning about the universal laws, that there was a shift in consciousness around the 1920’s, that led to the emergence of several ‘New Age/New Thought’ writers: Napoleon Hill “Think and Grow Rich”, Florence Scovel Shinn “The Game of Life and How to Play It”, and Neville Goddard “The Law and The Promise” to name but a few. And of course it was around this decade too, that Albert Einstein began his studies and experiments of energy and universal forces.

I don’t find it entirely surprising that ‘Desiderata’ was rediscovered in the early 1970’s, following the next biggest shift in consciousness in the 60’s. We all know about ‘flower power’, the peace movement, and the song words ‘This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius‘.

Now, just as there was a 40-50 year gap in those major universal shifts, some 40-50 years on from the 60’s, we are experiencing another huge awakening, with the re-emergence of these powerful teachings and more. Indeed, it is believed that this was what the 2012 phenomena was all about. Rather than the apocalyptic or cataclysmic event many thought it was, it was an indicator of the hugely transformative stage we are now entering.

When you look at the 1920’s and 1960’s, what you see is a ‘break from the norm’, people stepping out and saying ‘this is how we want to live’. Look at the difference between the 1920’s and the Victorian values of less than 20 years previously. People became more free in their expression, this was shown in the big changes in fashion (especially for women), music, society.

Again, the colourful 1960’s were hugely different from the quite stuffy 1950’s, with large groups of people asserting their desire for freedom of expression, and wanting major changes in the world culture, and doing it in as peaceful a way as possible.

I see this happening now: people are wanting their freedoms back and are wanting to do it in the free and easy, peaceful way which has been proven to work before. People are becoming more creative, more humanitarian, more meditative, more ecological, wanting a return to a natural world of healthy, local-grown food rather than the factory-produced, chemical-laced crap that has become prevalent and caused a dumbing-down of society. People are realising their own power to create the lives they want.

The world has always progressed and improved after such a transformation. The populace realises how disempowered it has become through fear, control and weakness, then finds the strength to take its power back, and the only way that can happen is creating peace with peace. That is when the world moves forward.

7 Ways to Use the Law of Attraction to Manifest Faster Results

manifesting dogManifesting takes a delicate balancing act. The law of attraction requires a look inside of yourself to gain more harmony with the universe. The moment you discover the steps everything flows faster and greater.

The whole idea of the law of attraction is to be a co-creator with God in manifesting the things that are closest to your heart. When you use the law of attraction in the right way you can experience manifesting your desires at a much faster rate than you ever would have had you not made the effort to use it correctly.

You can use the law of attraction to manifest faster results by taking the following steps.

1. Be Grateful Now

Gratitude can dramatically change your life but best of all it gets the law of attraction to give you more of what you are feeling grateful and happy for. When you are feeling frustrated and down the law of attraction gives you more reasons to feel down. You manifest more situations that make you feel unhappy. So as the first rule to manifesting faster results begin to see all the things in your present life that you are grateful for no matter how simple it is.

2. Speak of It

It may seem hypocritical at first when you learn of the law of attraction to speak of your desires as if they are already here. In reality all things are already created. The moment a thought is conceived you have brought it into your reality. The more you speak of that thought the stronger it becomes and the faster it moves into your state of being. Think of a child who becomes eager about the thing he or she wants. See how eager they are about it? They look up pictures about it, they speak about what they will do when they get it. They don’t worry about how or when it will come, they just know and above all they are excited about it. Speak with joy about what will come into your life because your words and thoughts about it feeds that creation and brings it to you faster.

3. Surround Yourself With The Things You Desire

You may be asking, how can I surround myself with the things that I want if I don’t have it? It may not be yours at the moment but you can borrow, you can visit, above all you can place yourself in the environment and among the people who are closely link to the things you desire. The successful application of the law of attraction depends on you already being in that energy of what you want. It is up to you to create the state that you want to attract and you do so by being among the things that you want until it is fully yours. The law of attraction will give you quite easily what you bring into your focus, whether you are speaking of it or observing it. You get more of what you surround yourself with.

4. Let Go!!!

Let go of what you want. Yes, let it go. Know that you desire to experience a particular thing but don’t hold on out of fear of doubt. The more you cling on to the needing or wanting feeling, the more disastrous your manifesting will be. You will only succeed in feeling more needy. Allow yourself to feel full and confident. Those who understand how the universe and the law of attraction work easily understand the power of their intention and don’t feel stress or needy. They create and know that the law of attraction is working for them and what they create will soon manifest. They create then let go and move into the state of receiving.

There is a great paradox that comes with letting go because a very large part of manifesting requires that you give a lot of focus to your desire but there is a delicate balancing act of focus without feeling needy or being clingy.

5. Learn to Receive

To activate the law of attraction you must move into the state of receiving. This is something most people struggle with. Many people say that they want certain things but few people know how to receive those things that they are asking for. Most people feel doubtful or unworthy about what they want. Deep within they feel that they do not deserve nor will they get what they are asking for. Those tiny feeling of unworthiness are giant blocks in the manifesting process and can only serve in destroying what you are hoping to attract. The law of attraction is a science that takes you deep into your inner nature and allows you to see where you are feeling disconnected as a co-creator with God and the universe. Become worthy and allow yourself to receive. For example, if somebody offers to buy your coffee, instead of saying “No it’s ok, I’ll get it”, get used to saying “Thank you very much, that’s really kind of you”, and connect with the feeling of gratitude within you.

6. Become Worthy Now

Become worthy by recognizing that you can manifest anything that you want because you are Gods and Goddesses and what you desire is only a tiny speck in the universe. You deserve to manifest what you want because when you are rich you influence those around you in positive ways. When you use the law of attraction to manifest a better life you are in the flow and in a better state of adding value to the world. The faster you can feel worthy of what you desire to manifest the faster it will come.

One of the biggest blocks in manifesting is the feeling of unworthiness that most people feel. God wants you to have, the universe is great enough and there is more than enough for you and everyone else. You are worthy!.

7. Give What You Desire Most

You may not have all the money in the world for yourself but you do have something of value and that thing which is of value to you may be in scarce supply to someone else. Give to others and you will be stunned and amazed by how fast the law of attraction will manifest abundance in your life.

There is a natural flow in the universe and in order to manifest more you must also be in the flow of giving. Give to others as long as you do not give more of yourself. There are many flawed concepts of giving more than you have, this is very faulty. Give only what you can, never ever deplete yourself. Give what makes you feel happy to give. Give with love on a regular basis but also be aware of conserving your own and the law of attraction will bless you by bringing to you much more than you give. As you give you will get and you will manifest much more than you could ever have imagined and much faster too.

Creating True Abundance in Your Life

abundanceLearning how to create abundance in your life is about much more than gathering financial abundance.

Abundance is a fundamental facet of nature too. Abundance is apparent in nature; one only needs to look at a field of flowers or wild fruit to understand how nature can be generous to the point of waste.

Many people associate the word abundance with affluence or financial prosperity but in truth experiencing abundance in your own life stretches to your experience of love and life too.

Wealth, good health, loving and passionate relationships and a strong sense of self will resonate from a person who truly experiences abundance. Living your life to the fullest means experiencing abundance. Anyone who is not overly controlled by their own limits can experience abundance. So what kinds of things hold us back from experiencing abundance in our own lives?

Society: society can sabotage our attempts to live life to the fullest.

Our own fears of experiencing abundance: perhaps on some level you don’t feel you are worthy of success? Are you sabotaging your own chances of a happy life?

Held back by daily stresses. It’s the chronic ‘hurry syndrome’ of our generation. We constantly rush to get things done which contribute little to our master plan.

Self-empowerment courses are easy to find and many authors who experience abundance in their own lives have many great techniques for easing the flow of abundance in your own life.

Most people wish to live more abundantly (not only financially).

Your internal dialogue directly influences how you experience prosperity. At various times in your life, you are controlled by different aspects of your personality. Allowing the ‘dreamer’ to take centre stage will benefit your life tremendously. After all, acknowledging and striving for your dreams are fundamental parts of life.

Creating some kind of balance will also encourage the flow of prosperity in your life. After all, karmic principles have an undeniable ring of truth. These principles are echoed in Western religions too. Christians preach the principle of doing unto others and this is a lovely concept to live by. Why not try doing unto yourself as you wish others would? By loving and respecting yourself you open the channels for abundance to flow freely. Those who do good can only attract good.

One of my favourite teachers of allowing the flow of abundance in all areas of life is Dr Wayne Dyer.

Enjoying the fullness of living means inviting joy into your life at any possible opportunity. Don’t do things you don’t enjoy; life’s too short. Have that extra glass of wine within reason or indulge in that chocolate. Savour wonderful experiences, textures, sights, sounds. Engage your senses on a daily basis.

Are you really, truly living the life you want to live? Claim your life of abundance today. You DO deserve it.

Karma: Are we missing the point?

karma-cleanseWhat do we really understand karma to be?

Are we misinterpreting it in our lives and thus missing the point completely?

Karma is ‘the law of cause and effect’.

Many people believe it comes about as a result of our deeds or actions, ‘what goes around comes around’, and it does.

However, have you ever considered that it is not only physical deeds and actions that activate the law of karma, but also your thoughts?

Is a thought not a deed or action? Quantum theory is indeed proving now that thoughts have a physical effect on everything we experience. Thoughts are causes which produce physical effects, or manifestations. If a person thinks positively, they produce positive experiences in reality. Likewise, somebody who thinks negatively experiences negative results.

A conscious thought is indeed an action to think that thought.

Many people, when observing somebody doing what they perceive to be a negative deed, will comment, ‘I’ll let karma take care of that’, ‘C’mon karma, do your stuff’, or ‘Karma can sort that one out’. Well here’s the kicker – doesn’t that thought in itself indicate that the one ‘wishing for karma’ is having negative thoughts towards the perceived wrongdoer, and in itself constitute a negative deed?

We can do little to control the behaviour, actions or thoughts of others, and it’s rarely our place to do so. Everybody is on their own path, with their own lessons to learn. We can only have direct influence over ourselves.
